Discovering Udine and Friuli Venezia-Giulia

Do not miss the opportunity to visit Udine!

Walk around the wonderful city centre, rich in magnificent monuments, beautiful squares (e.g. Piazza Libertà, Piazza San Giacomo) and history! Climb up Castle Hill, the highest point in the town, to enjoy an amazing view of the Alps.

Visit the "Palazzo Patriarcale" and admire the beautiful frescoes painted by Giambattista Tiepolo.

Udine's beautiful countryside also offers some interesting historic sites! Cividale del Friuli (ancient Forum Iulii and capital of the Lombards in the 6th century AD), Palmanova (a unique nine-pointed fortified Renaissance town) and the important Roman provincial capital of Aquileia (founded in 181 BC), are all included in UNESCO's World Heritage List.

Get a taste of Udine and Friuli at dinner! The city has a wide range of restaurants and local eateries where you can enjoy local DOCG wines (Collio, Colli Orientali, Ramandolo etc.) together with regional cheeses, meat dishes and more!

We really hope you'll enjoy your stay in Udine!
